Hi,

I eventually switched from PC to Mac then to Aperture from iPhoto. I have 90% of my images on an Ex HD backed up to another Ex HD.

I have one Library but now want to split it into several smaller ones. I selected a folder on my main library and created a new library using “export folder as new library” but still see the old one in the main library. I want to repeat this, taking out of the main library, specific folders and their sub folders into a new library.

What should I do with what is left? Is it allright to delete the folder just exported to a new library? Is the new library a duplicate?
