When I mouse over the project folder the numbers are correct and the images are visible when you click on the folder the project is nested in.

James,

I’m not following; please do provide as much clear information as possible when posting questions here.

You’re saying when you “mouse over the project”, so I assume that means you’re in the “Projects” view, and are mousing over them there. Then what happens; you double click a project to open it and it’s empty?

Is this all projects or just some?

Usually when this happens it means the user has a filter (search) applied and is seeing the results of that search, which happen to be empty (for example, “show five star images only”). To check that, reset the search window in a project by clicking the (x) here: [screenshot]

Thank you so much Joseph. That solved my problem. I am new to Aperture coming from Lightroom. I have purchased your video’s and watching them and making notes as I go. If I need to post another question I will work on explaining things better.
Thanks,
Jim
