Photos for OS X does not import the RAW/JPEG pairs from the SD card from my new G9. They show up in the list of new photos available to import, but nothing happens when I hit the import button. JPEG only photos will import and I can import the RAW/JPEG pairs into Aperture. Has anyone else had this problem and know of a solution?
Panasonic Lumix S5 Advanced Exposure Setup
The LUMIX S5 is an incredible camera, with powerful tools that you may not realize existed. I'll show you how to use the waveform monitor, scopes, zebras and the spot meter in ways you've probably never considered!
Upgrading to macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 today seems to have solved the problem.
In case anyone else continues to have this problem, or finds a solution, here is what is happening now with the latest MacOS update. My MacBook Air is displaying and importing the RAW/JPEG pair, but you cannot make the RAW the main image (I guess the G9 is still not supported). A bigger problem is that my iMac 5K only sees and imports the JPEG photos and will not even import the RAWs. Same SD card, same photos and same MacOS/Photos software versions on each. Very strange….
Yeah, that's because macOS does not yet support the G9 RAW files. Super annoying… I've reminded them; they know, but of course Apple never gives dates for anything.
