Recovered Folder Message
Hi. My Aperture crashed when I opened it and said it would do a file repair . This took some time and when it was complete I was left with two folders called “Recovery Folder” in my Aperture library. One containing 2360 photo files, and the other 5415 with no sub folders, album names which I had meticulously given them over the years. Now just these two files. I only work with Managed files.
I run Mac OSX and Aperture 3.4.5. I shoot mainly in RAW
I have since made a time machine back up but the previous one I had done had failed.
I am now left with these two large folders to re-sort into albums folders etc.
What happened?
When I look into Aperture package, they are all still there under date.
I have some managed files outside of Aperture library that I moved into Photos when I first got Aperture and thought I would arrange them nicely like I had in Picassa. Then I realised this was the wrong thing to do. Since then all the files remain in Aperture. I would like to almost delete Aperture and start again to get all my photos on the computer back to one filing system under Aperture managed files until I properly learn what I am doing.
Do I have to just sit down and re-sort all my photos into albums again. I have not done any tagging, key words etc.
This stuff is scary.
