I have moved an Aperture Library from my Macbook Air to my desktop but do not want to maintain it as a separate library. How can I move the images from that library into my main Aperture Library on my desktop iMac. Both are managed libraries.

I think you are trying to reunite the two libraries. If that is so open the main library and go to File Import Library and import the other back inside the main. If I misunderstood you I apologize.

Just merge the two libraries. I do this often all the time when I have been on the road with the Mac Book Air and have a trip library I am bringing home to my workstation in the office.
