Hi all,
Since Mobile me shut down all my aperture installs get stuck on “Moving Mobile Me Galleries” While i never used it, tried disabeling and deleting it but it keeps coming back.
The only workaround is, switching with that mobile me message to a newly created library then switch back. but when i just start up my aperture get stuck right away.
any ideas?
Thanks for posting this.
Switching to a newly created library doesn’t work for me. Aperture won’t even let me quit while it is “Moving MobileMe albums”
What’s worse is that I can’t do any work in Aperture while this is going on.
Only disconnecting my computer from the internet or force quitting stops the process.
Clicking on Learn More when the process starts up does lead to a link that explains things a little.
Hope this helps.
The first few times I got the Mobile Me pop-up I was able to click OK then Cancel and go back to work.
Now I can’t click on any of the options and Aperture is frozen. I can Force Quit but when I open it again it’s frozen again with the Mobile Me pop-up in front.
I’ve never used Mobile Me.
Any ideas how I can get back to work again?
I figured it out.
I created a new Library, went to Preferences>Web and deleted the Mobile Me account.
Fixed.
Hope this helps someone else.
I couldn’t use your advice iamunique127 because aperture opened with the pop-up. However, I got round it by disabling wifi and then opening aperture; stops the popup appearing. Then did as you said - preferences>web and deleting mobileme account. Then shut aperture down, re-enabled wifi, re-opened aperture and no more pop-up.
