I think I’ve decided to purchase Perfect Photo Suite 8. Just wondering how people find that it works with Aperture. Does anyone have an opinion on this program?
I have been using PPS7 with Aperture and found it to be useful for enhancing some of my images. Recently I got PPS8 and have been using it with Aperture. PPS8 is very good. In fact, as a hobbyist, I have been testing a series of fall images with Aperture alone, PPS8 alone (Aperture RAW conversion only), and Aperture adjustments combined with PPS8. I have done the same image in these three modes. The PPS8 alone does everything I want with an image, but again remember I am a hobbyist with over editing urges. In fact, if Aperture 4/X nevers shows up or is really going off in some different direction, I have considered using PPS8 alone.
I totally agree with John. PPS works very intuitive for me and with the new Enhancement brick it works just great.
I also consider using Aperture only as a way to organize my photos and leave the rest to PPS
I also have used PPS7 since its inception, and now, PPS8. The latest version has some nice new features (the Enhance Module , the Batch Module, the Perfect Eraser). I have also used the Nik Collection and some of the Topaz products, and just find the PPS8 workflow and layout easier to use (more intuitive as Martin says). If you do not have Photoshop, you should find Perfect Layers along with Perfect Mask more than sufficient. I would recommend downloading a trial and see how you like it.
