Polarizer effect or filter #1

Does the adjustment Polarize(multiply) do exactly the same as having a polarizing filter on the camera?
Only tried this adjustment since new version & it seems pretty much like it does.

You never have enough gear!

Well… it’s an effect and not real glass of course, so it’s never going to be “exact”. It will attempt to replicate it but it can’t make pixels appear where there weren’t any, and one thing a polarizer does is let you see through reflections (glass, water).

The effect will do a nice job of darkening a sky, but it won’t do anything for reflections.
