Hi Guys,
My iMac has a 768GB SSD, which is really good but want to make sure i don't fill it up too quick
Finally set up 2 vaults which appear to be working OK
After my initial set-up I have transferred a bunch of old files from old FAT 32 drives,
Now both on Mac Formatted external HDD's
Now I have that sorted, I have a project called “Archive” which I relocated all the originals to both drives
Question:
If I now delete that project, will I be able to import those relocated files and start a new project if I need it?
And,
If I just leave the project as it is, (masters relocated), is it really going to take up that much memory on the iMac SSD?
Regards,
Gary
If you have referenced images in an Aperture library and you “delete” them from the Aperture library, you are only removing them from Aperture’s database. You are not removing them from your hard drive.
If you have managed images in an Aperture library and you “delete” them, you really are deleting them from your hard drive.
NOTE that Aperture has a Trash can so anything you delete you can put back up to the point where you empty Aperture’s trash. And when you empty Aperture’s trash, real image files from managed libraries are placed in the Finder trash so you have a second opportunity to recover the images if you accidentally delete them and empty the trash from within Aperture. Once you empty the Finder trash, they are gone, gone, gone.
