I need to rename all of the files in Aperture by either doing a batch change or relocating the originals so that each of the files matches the name of the project they are stored in. The problem I am having is that I can do that without a problem, but only for 1 project at a time. Since I have hundreds of projects, I would need to do these steps hundreds of times, each time tipping the Custom name for each file matching the project name.
How can I rename all of my files in Aperture, so that they have file names matching the project each file is in? I would like to do that for several projects at the same time.
In iPhoto there´s an option to do this: Batch Change -> Set Title to Event Title. This does everything I need, and can be done over many events. How can I do something like this in Aperture? I need to rename both my versions and my masters to match the projects they are in.

I don’t know of a way to do this in Aperture other than what you’ve described, but it’s interesting that iPhoto has this feature. Good news then; since you can now open Aperture 3.3 libraries in iPhoto 9.3, you should be able to open your library in iPhoto and do the renaming there, then go back to Aperture. This may be slow if it’s a huge library, so perhaps you want to run a test on a small subset of exported projects first, just to see that it works as expected.
