I've spoken with Nik twice over the past two weeks, and get the same “it's Apple's problem” response.
That said, a temporary workaround to avoid the image corruption issues is to go into Grid view, choose your 3/5/7 images, edit in HDR. When you come back into Aperture, you'll still be in Grid view. Open up the finished HDR image and….no image corruption problems.
Thank you for posting this work around…tried it and it works for me….I too had been frustrated and concerned by this behavior.
