Three Men and an ATEM, ep zero
Photo Moment - February 25, 2021
(scrub to 4:52 for the show start)
In this inaugural, *test* show, “Three Men and an ATEM”, episode ZERO, I was joined by Aaron Parecki and John from Here to Record to discuss all things live streaming. Other than some initial glitches at the start of the show (that's what we get for not prepping properly), it went great… we're definitely doing this again!

ATEM Mini lineup…
My Laptop broke on our last field trip with Livestreaming a wedding :-( I had an ASUS Rog 7 i7... seeing that travelling does come with a risk breakage... What is the "smaller" type Laptop that would work for streaming? I'm looking for the minimum requirements for a Windows Laptop for streaming using OBS with the Atem Mini Pro ISO?
If you're streaming from an ATEM, then you only need a laptop to control the switcher, and basically anything will work. If you're actually using the laptop to stream, I recommend having conversions in forums where users of the software you will use to stream hang out. "What computer to buy" is always a complicated question!
Awaiting return of three men and a broadcast....
Haha yes… we need to do this again soon!!!
Can we go live with ATEM mini at a 720p without OBS ?? Often I get only 10mbps upload that too it’s not dedicated.
@@photojoseph thank you
No, the ATEM Mini Pro and Mini Pro ISO only do 1080 resolution. The new Web Presenter HD will do 720p though.
It's occurred to me this is really, "Three Tech Wizards and THREE ATEMs". I'm curious how you'd Super Source a panel like this when the (multiple) remote guests are plebeians with nothing but common laptops on their end? Is it possible to turn a conference call on something like Skype/Zoom/etc into multiple video sources or is it one computer/call per guest? Then there's the backchannel issue. Seems like breaking off audio into a mixing board that supports mix-minus would be the solution. Had previously been looking at a Rodecaster Pro but it appears it's mix-minus is too limited to do this. Thoughts???
Hey Joseph can I use an Razer Kiyo webcam on the ATEM mini pro? If so how?
@@photojoseph i seen a guy on youtube using Logitech webcams
@@photojoseph is there any type of adapter that can be used?
If it's a USB webcam, then no. You need HDMI to get video into the ATEM.
