Hi I've done all the steps in the reset but still get this error when trying to install the 1.2 update;
Sorry, and error has occurred. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the applications author for assistance.
Help Please
Hi
One thing that might stop the update is a security-setting in the MacOS itself. You need to set “security & privacy” (the control panel) to allow applications downloaded from anywhere. I think the default is Mac App store.

I’m having the same problems updating to 1.20. I tried changing the security setting to allow all apps but that didn’t help. I checked the console log and the following message:

Joseph,
Yes, I followed all those steps after installing the latest version of AIR.

Joseph,
I stated I’d done the reset steps in the first post. Any other ideals?
Thanks
Tim
Based on the error messages I posted above, the update won’t work on the 1.11 version of AI I have installed. So, can I get a fresh 1.2 install package rather than an update?
Mark
I second that PLEASE:-)
I have sendt a new version in mail to the both of you. Please let me know if the problems persist.

Hi.
I have the same problem installing 1.2. Tried all the steps and got same errormsg. in the console as mark.
Arve.
Hi folks, I’m working out a way to distribute the new installer to all current owners. Sit tight — nearly there.
Sorry for all the troubles. Unfortunately relying on Adobe Air complicates matters :(

Hi Joseph
Could you please put me on your list when you come up with a new installer as I am still having issues with Aperture Inspector as I mentioned in the last emailI sent to you.
Thanks!
Best,
Stu

Hello!
I am also experiencing the same issue when attempting to upgrade (OS version 10.7.5, Aperture version 3.4.3).
Followed the instructions per http://www.apertureexpert.com/aperture-inspector-support/post/1727857 - to no avail.
I am really looking forward to the 1.2 upgrade, as AInspector (v1.11) shows significant discrepancies with the actual libraries (With a EOS 7D AI shows 516 shot number count, where aperture shows 24,129 - which is about right); lens stats are also all over the place - an EF 100 f/2 shows 38 shots, where aperture shows 2,412!, while others are duplicated with slightly different names and counts. Really hoping the AI v1.2 will resolve this. In fact, the only stat which resembles any sort of reality is the shot count for the 5D3 and old iPhone3.
Unfortunately I can’t nail it down for certain, but I think all the stats slipped somewhere around v.3.2 of Aperture.
Please advise on recommended course of action.
Thank you!
