On ATOMOS Academy — AtomX Sync Module
I created this video for the Atomos Academy and wanted to be sure you saw it!
AtomX SYNC module for Ninja V and Timecode Systems wireless timecode with PhotoJoseph
In this Atomos Academy video PhotoJoseph explains how to get stress free, trouble free multi-cam and dual system sound for your productions with the new AtomX SYNC module.
AtomX SYNC brings wireless timecode, sync and control technology to the Ninja V. It connects multiple Ninja Vs, cameras and audio recorders using reliable long-range RF wireless technology patented by Timecode Systems. At the same time, it can also bring other devices into the synchronised system via Bluetooth. On iPhone and iPad this works with apps like Apogee’s MetaRecorder audio recorder, Mavis Pro camera and MovieSlate8 logging. It is also compatible with professional audio recorders like the Zoom F6 and F8n.
Use AtomX SYNC to bring your HDMI camera into a professional multi-camera production, then have all your footage instantly synchronized when you come to edit it – no more time wasted trying to align clips or running additional software. With the AtomX SYNC module you can guarantee your video and audio sources all match up perfectly every time.
A single camera angle often doesn’t tell the whole story, but adding extra cameras and organising all the footage can be a headache. AtomX SYNC and Ninja V free you to put cameras anywhere to follow multiple subjects, or use different angles for some unique perspectives, while at the same time making sure that all footage remains synchronised for your edit. Want to place multiple iOS devices as audio recorders on your subjects or have guests record their own footage at a wedding or concert venue? Again, no problem with AtomX SYNC’s Bluetooth connectivity – all devices will have the same timecode.
Joseph also explains how the Master Ninja V is also able to synchronise with any number of other Timecode Systems sync devices such as the UltraSync One, UltraSync Blue and SyncBac Pro for GoPro, which allow connection to other cameras, sound mixers and sources.
