It’s time for another RAW Update! Anyone with a shiny new Nikon D610 will undoubtedly be happy about this one…

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ‘11:

  • Canon PowerShot S120
  • Fujifilm X-A1
  • Nikon COOLPIX P7800
  • Nikon D610
  • Olympus PEN Lite E-PL6
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX7
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LF1
  • Sony Alpha ILCE-3000
  • Sony Alpha NEX-5T

This RAW update requires MacOS X 10.8.5. The previous 4.09 update only required 10.7.5.

I was going to post a screenshot but I see that you still need to upload it to your own photo sharing service because the comments here only allows an image URL. Am I reading that wrong? I thought we’d be able to upload screenshots to ApertureExpert’s servers.

Do you not have access to the editing bar above your comment post?

The Image button on the editing bar only lets you add a URL of an image. The image must be uploaded outside of ApertureExpert. Am I missing something?

Thomas

joseph @ApertureExpert here — I’m logged in now as a regular user, and the image bar works for me.

  1. click this:
  2. click browse
  3. click upload
  4. select a file, and upload
  5. select an uploaded file, and click insert

Can you do that?

I see the problem. I see “browse server” and I’m thinking it will browse some server of my own rather than ApertureExpert’s server. Once you click that button you can upload a file to ApertureExpert. I never actually went that far because my brain rejected it as the wrong thing to do.

I was expecting the button to say “browse files…” meaning browse files on my Mac which will then get uploaded. But there’s an extra step in there to upload to server first. I’ll try it when I get home.

Thomas

Thanks for the heads-up

I think I’m up to date

I opted for manual update so I don’t miss any thing

I have a photographic memory but never got it developed

Glad to see Apple so quickly able to provide Nikon D610 support.

But a shame that the OM-D E-M1 hasn’t been featured yet.

Of course, this D610 model of Nikon looks a great camera, but I’m not familiar with the output as well.

I just finished a review of D3100 Nikon camera here, give a look at http://21streviews.com/nikon-d3100-review/, this is also a good model, impressively better than this D610 model.
