Just downloaded NIK suite and am having inconsistent results with Dfine 2. Sometimes noise is removed and others not. Results vary with either global or use of control points.
I shoot only RAW and have been using Aperture for landscape images exclusively. My workflow uses Dfine after silver efex pro where most of noise is created.

If I remember correctly. in a Nik software video seminar and or article. It was recommend to use Define 2 before using other parts of the suite. Have you tried a different work flow to see if that helps your end results ? Nik software has multiple videos on their site and on Nik Software on You Tube.
