I have a project in Lightroom where I need to share some near-final images with someone else for retouching, and in figuring out most efficient way to handle this, realized a couple of pretty cool things about file management in Lightroom.

If you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, and are using an iOS device, then you know that shortly after you shoot a photo on your iOS device, it shows up in Photos.app. But what happens when you’re offline, or simply don’t have the bandwidth to sync? It turns out if you import manually, you’ll be OK — as long as you don’t get fancy about it.

Photo Extensions Coming to OS X El Capitan

Today’s WWDC 2015 keynote didn’t mention Photos specifically, but the Extensions capability we’ve been waiting for was mentioned in the “other” slide, and is now on the Apple developer website, indicating that Extensions will be coming with OS X El Capitan.
