Two new updates in the pipeline; Aperture 3.2.4 and Digital Camera Raw 3.13!

Aperture 3.2.4

There are only two bullets in this small update, one of which has been discussed at length in these forums, so I’m sure we’re all thrilled to see this addressed:

  • Improves stability on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
  • Addresses an issue that could prevent the Viewer from updating correctly after editing a photo using an external editor.

Let us know in the comments if it’s working for you now, or more importantly, if it’s not working for you after the update!

Digital Camera Raw 3.13

Another update for the latest digital cameras on the market…

  • Canon EOS-1D X
  • Nikon D800E
  • Nikon D3200
  • Olympus OM-D E-M5
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF5
  • Sony Alpha SLT-A57

Oooh I do wish I had the EOS 1D X to tell you how well that works ;-)

As always, just run Software Update to get this goodness, or if you bought Aperture from the Mac App Store, then update from there.

One thing I would liked to see fixed is the Activity Window upload % status so you can see how your upload(s) is doing,we use to have it

Viewer updating after using external editor is working for me…again

Dave,

I think that depends on the plugin you’re using. I’m no engineer, but from what I recall, if a plugin is accessing some built-in APIs then it can deliver the % upload back to Aperture to display. For those that aren’t, such as anything uploading to SmugMug, you can’t get a % back to Aperture. It’s either in progress — or it’s done.

If you have a specific plugin that you know used to display the %, let me know. And, contact the developer.
