This was a fun experiment… I edited a video in Final Cut Pro for three hours — LIVE! And… there's live commentary from Chris Fenwick and Felipe Baez. Oh my.
I've been using the LUMIX BGH1 as my primary web-cam/demo-cam for a while now, and I want to show you what this camera can do, and why it's so impressive!
The ATEM Mini Pro ISO is here, and to demonstrate it's abilities, I've brought in a live musician! Enjoy the show… literally!
If you want to make easy, awesome animations for your YouTube videos without learning After Effects or Motion, then Keynote may be the solution for you!
I produce THREE Photo Moments shows every week, so when it comes to editing them, every minute matters. My Final Cut Pro X workflow is very refined, using a series of custom effects presets and reusable assets. Check out my workflow and possibly pick up some tips for your Final Cut editing, and maybe offer some suggestions on how I can make mine even better!
Ever wundered (ha… see what I did there?) about filming 360 VR? This little camera packs a lot of punch. Today we're looking just at 360 video and editing that in Final Cut Pro X. We'll explore this camera's other capabilities (pano still photos, time lapse, live streaming and more) in future videos.
Have you ever wondered how to build your own LUT for video editing? It's actually quite easy. If you're not familiar with color grading or correcting, a Lookup Table is a file that converts colors in an image based on a mathematical formula. Its especially useful if you have a large batch or a whole project to apply the same color grading to. Use LUTs with any of your favorite editing programs (Photoshop, Lightroom, Afinity Photo, Premier, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc… you get the picture).
ProRes RAW was one of the biggest announcements at NAB. But what does it mean, and what can you do with it? Let's have a look at some actual ProRes RAW footage and see what it can do.
Let's take a look at the project I've been working on in FCP X 10.4.1 that I shot during my trip to Slovenia. And, bonus, gotta love when you accidentally learn something new in the program you're using.
In part 3, we see the problem I've run into with the Atomos Ninja Inferno and the V-Log footage on an HDR timeline. Do YOU know what's wrong?!
In part 2, we learn how to set up a Final Cut Pro X 10.4 library for HDR editing, discuss how to know what you're looking at on a non-HDR screen, and run into the problem that we'll explore in part 3.
In part 1, I show off the GH5S ISO settings, discuss the difference between auto/low/high ISO settings, compare in-studio shots of ISO 400 vs 2500, then show test shots from the blacksmith shop shot in V-Log on an Atomos Ninja Inferno in Final Cut Pro X!
Ever wondered how to get the high speed streaky blur look in video? Me too, so I ran a bunch to tests… let me show you what I found!
Today's an AMA show… basically, an extended commentary. What do YOU want to talk about? Topics included the iPhone 8 or X, GH5 V-Log, and Final Cut Pro X and other video editing programs.
